Everybody wants white sparkling teeth. A bright smile with beautiful white teeth makes us feel younger, more confident, attractive, and self assured. Yellow or discolored teeth can be caused by certain factors such as; poor brushing, excess coffee, tobacco and beverages, infection, climate condition, emotional shock, old age, hereditary reasons and high dose of antibiotics. Or you can even try using baking soda by itself. All you need to do is apply your toothbrush with some baking soda and brush gently. 2. Avoid consumption of alcohol, tobacco and hard drinks in order to keep your teeth white and free of bacteria. 3. Sage is considered to be one of the efficient home remedies for teeth whitening. It is known for its anti-fungal, astringent and antibiotic properties. Just take some powdered sage leaves and mix it with toothpaste or baking soda and brush like you normally do. 4. Take dried rinds of one orange and fifteen to twenty dry leaves of basal (tulsi). Now mix them together and use it to clean your teeth. This method is very helpful in making your teeth white. 5. You can even use crushed walnut to keep your teeth white and free from bacteria. It prevents yellowing of the teeth by acting as a natural cleaner. 6. Strawberries are also effective in teeth whitening. Just take two to three strawberries and grind them together. You can use these ground strawberries as teeth whitening paste. 7. Wood ash is known to have potassium hydroxide which is basically a compound that helps in bleaching our teeth. You can either use it directly with your toothbrush or mix it in your regular toothpaste. 8. Hydrogen peroxide is one of the most common home remedies for teeth whitening. It shows results within a couple of weeks. All you need to do is brush your teeth with hydrogen peroxide like you normally do. Spit it out and rinse your mouth properly with water. It will cause you with some burning sensation in your gums and remember not to swallow it at any cost. You can even try using hydrogen peroxide by dipping a cotton swab in it and then use this cotton swab to rub your teeth in all directions. 9. Consume food rich in calcium and iron. 10. Drink lots of water in order to remove plaques from the teeth and keep you hydrated. Eat sugarcane, cucumber, sprouts, apple, carrot and guava which will prevent the yellowing of teeth.
